★ July 3–5 · Oakland
A new kind of 4th of July is Under Construction.
Come Celebrate, Reflect, and Co-create.
In this American story, even though our democracy is far from perfect, there’s more that brings us together than pulls us apart, but the political parties, media outlets, and social media platforms profit from fostering polarization and exaggerating our differences.
This 4th of July, let’s come together across styles, perspectives, and generations to transcend “political parties” and co-create a space where all are welcomed, where we celebrate our togetherness, and both our Independence and our Interdependence.
We don’t just thrive best in community, we only thrive when we thrive in community.
We’re bringing together DJs and live music of different genres, art, BBQ/food trucks, kidsville, lightning talks, and an unconference where artists, organizers, builders, youth, faith leaders, veterans, public leaders, and everyday neighbors come together to celebrate, vent, dream, and build the communities and country we want to live in. With liberty, justice, and flourishing, for all.
